There was a boy named Badal who lived with his mother in a village happily. One day, Badal was returning from his school, and he saw a puppy shivering from the cold. He brought that puppy at home and asked his mother, “Can this puppy stay with us”? His mother told him, “Yes” but you have to take care of him and they named him “Moti”. As the dog grew up they loved each other and became best friends. They both ate and played together. Moti followed Badal wherever he went.
One day while coming from the school, Badal slipped on the muddy lane and fell into a deep pit. He tried hard but couldn’t come out. His mother was worried and she informed her neighbours and went in search of Badal. Moti took his scent and barked near the pit and the neighbours got alert and searched for Badal. They used a rope to pull out Badal from the pit Badal hugged and thanked Moti.

एक दिन बरसात में जब बादल स्कूल से घर आ रहा था वह कीचड़ की सड़क पर फिसल गया और एक गहरे गड्ढे में गिर गया। उसने बहुत कोशिश की पर वह बाहर नहीं आ सका। बादल की माँ और मोती बहुत चिंतित थी माँ ने पड़ोसियों को इकट्ठा किया और वे बादल को ढूँढ़ने निकल गए। मोती ने बादल की गंध को पकड़ लिया और पेड़ के पीछे गया और भौंकना शुरू कर दिया। इससे सभी सचेत हो गए और बादल को ढूँढ़ निकाला। उन्होंने रस्सी की मदद से बादल को ऊपर की ओर खींचा। बादल ने मोती को गले से लगाया और उसका शुक्रिया किया।

1. There was a boy called Badal. He lived with his mother in a village and they were very happy. One evening, when Badal was returning from school, he saw a puppy shivering in the cold.
अनुवाद – बादल नाम’का एक लड़का था, जो अपनी माँ के साथ गाँव में खुशी से रहता था। एक शाम जब वह स्कूल से लौट रहा था, उसने एक कुत्ते का बच्चा ठंड से ठिठुरता हुआ देखा।
2. Badal brought him home. “Can this puppy stay with us, Maa?” asked Badal. “Yes beta, but only if you promise to take care of the puppy”, said his mother with a smile. Badal and his mother named the puppy Moti. As days went by, Moti grew up and loved Badal. They became best friends. They ate and played together. Moti followed Badal wherever he went. They played their favourite games together.

4. Moti caught Badal’s scent. He followed the scent and went near the pit and started barking. This alerted the neighbours who were searching for Badal. They used a rope to pull Badal out of the pit. Everyone was relieved. Badal hugged and thanked Moti.
